For decades, I’ve dedicated myself to pushing the boundaries of the sport. Here are some highlights of my journey:

My journey with Running with Life began with a simple jog with my dad at the age of 5. From that moment, I was hooked on running and driven to improve from an average runner to a top performer.

My passion for the sport led me to:

  • Join a gym at 13
  • Compete in track during high school
  • Run my first 5K and become a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor at 18, helping others achieve their fitness goals

As I pushed my boundaries by running greater distances and gaining experience in the field, I delved into training theories and the methods of elite runners.

This exploration led to a crucial realization: improvement isn’t limited to those with innate athletic talent.

Through years of dedication to the sport, I learned that achieving your running potential requires more than just logging miles or mindlessly following a plan.

I discovered the powerful synergy of:

  • Personalized training: Customizing programs to meet individual needs and goals.
  • Holistic approach: Addressing all aspects of well-being, including nutrition, sleep, and mental health, for optimal performance and injury prevention.

Recognizing the importance of whole-person optimization, I pursued certification as a Holistic Coach.

This realization fueled my passion and led to the creation of Running with Life, a company built on the foundation of helping individuals thrive through holistic coaching, empowering them to reach their full potential on the road and beyond.

  • Passion for Distance: I specialize in coaching distance runners because of the unique blend of challenge and accomplishment it brings to their lives.
  • Holistic Roots: My journey with holistic health began thanks to my dad, who, while inspiring my love of running, unfortunately did so after putting out a cigarette. Witnessing firsthand the impact of lifestyle choices sparked my lifelong passion for well-being.
  • Always Learning: I’m currently researching Ph.D. programs to explore the connection between holistic practices and improved endurance performance and overall health. My love for nature also draws me towards potentially becoming a certified herbalist.
  • Dedicated Runner:  I didn’t run over 100+ miles per week until after I became a Master’s runner. It’s been a journey of dedication and consistency, allowing me to maintain an average of up to 128 miles per week—injury-free!
  • Fun on the Run: I confess I have a weakness for funny running t-shirts
  • Don’t be surprised to see me out there with my furry running partner, Cody, the dog
  • And yes, I’m one of those people with the “I’d rather be running” license plate frame.
