Build your endurance and fitness in this Half Marathon Training Program that allows you do it the right way to step up your game.

  • This Half Marathon Program requires the ability to easily/regularly run at least 4 miles. 
  • If you are not there yet, you can either:
    • Ramp yourself up to the four miles before July 26, or
    • Sign up for the Intro Trail Running, then the Sunburst 10K training (at a 40% discount!), and then go on to train for a later fall half such as the Haunted Hilly Half in Bristol in October.

I specialize in coaching Marathon and Ultrarunning, so outside of private coaching with me, this is how you can find out how to optimize your training and run holistically at your best and reach your goal.

  • Must have 6+ months (preferably 1+ years) of running experience and can run regularly for at least an hour prior to this training group. 
  • I am currently privately training runners online for multiple fall marathons including Berlin, Chicago, Indy, Detroit, Boston, the Great Wall Marathon, and smaller regional races. 
  • Please be aware marathon training to perform at a high level requires at least 16-18 weeks (bare minimum, 12-14) of time with a proper base period completed. 
  • How is this different from private coaching with me? Private coaching provides consistent running analysis, a training plan fully customized to the athlete as we go along, and involves ongoing technical workout monitoring and 1:1 feedback from me. 
  • A training group involves a set plan chosen based upon your starting point and current fitness level, periodic feedback on how to adjust the plan yourself for various scenarios as the training goes on, and group targeted training tips. The training group allows access to professional distance coaching at lower price point, plus additional group support from those with a similar goal who are also taking it seriously. 
  • Fill out the waitlist as I will run this program based on enough participants from runners who are serious about their goal.

Ultramarathon Training Group - Conquer The Distance at Your Best Fitness
Winter 50K-50M Training Group (examples: Huff 50K or Yankee Springs)
This online ultramarathon training group helps runners with a winter 50K-50M ultra goal who want to perform well at the distance by
  • Eliminating inappropriate training plans, over- or under-training and DNFs, and
  • Boosting the best training methods for performance, a focus on recovery to train strongly, and holistic focus on what it takes to run ultras and end up on top.

I specialize in coaching Marathon and Ultrarunning, so outside of private coaching with me, this is how you can find out how to optimize your training and run holistically at your best and reach your goal. 

  • Must have 6+ months (preferably 1+ years) of running experience and have run at least a half marathon for the 50K distance or run a full marathon for the 50M prior to this training group. 
  • Currently training ultrarunners for the 50K-100M distance, FKT and to go 200+ miles to gain a Golden Ticket to Big’s in a backyard ultra. 
  • Please be aware ultramarathon training requires many months of dedicated training and a healthy time commitment to back to back long runs plus runs during the week. 
  • If you are not familiar with trail running and you want to do a trail ultra, register for the second half of the “Learn or Return to Trail Running Program” (Option C). This option is for people who already run roads but want to learn all about running trails.

  • This program will be focused on starting running to improve health and fitness. 
  • It will time out with the Sunburst 5K/10K run/walk, which you will be able to complete as an optional event for fun.
  • Likely meeting place(s) would be Beutter/Central Park in Mishawaka or the new Howard Park Public House restaurant in Downtown South Bend. 
  • The 30-45 minute or 5K distance goal requires no running experience, but being able to walk for 20-30 minutes easily is recommended.
  • The 45-60 minute or 10K distance goal requires the ability to easily run at least 2-3 miles. 
  • If you are not at this point:
    • You can get there by signing up for the Intro Trail Running Program above.
    • At the end of that program, you will be able to run the required minimum distance (on both trails AND road) and could
    • Then jump in this 10K program (and receive 40% off!)

Try out Night Trail Running in a Safe Environment with Others

  • Includes an online session in advance so you know what you do before you get there, and can purchase any equipment you may want to try out (I will bring some to the live session). 
  • A live, in-person evening session to try it out at a local trail so you can ask any questions, have fun and be safe while trying things out for yourself
  • Trail experience required if you will actually run, but not required to just try things out for a short distance and see how to do it. 
    • If you want to get familiar with trail running, sign up for the trail running intro, including just taking the Second Half/Option C for those who already run roads. 
  • Participants of the Learn or Return to Trail Running Program will easily be able to participate when this is held.
